Digital Move Forward Boost Your Online Presence Grant Program Terms and Conditions
1. Acceptance of Application
By applying for the Boost Your Online Presence Grant, you become a “Grant Applicant” and acknowledge that you have entered into a legally binding agreement with Digital Move Forward (“we,” “us,” “our”).
These Program Terms and Conditions, together with Digital Move Forward’s Code of Conduct and Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Agreement”), govern your participation in the Program.
2. Program Overview
WHEREAS, Digital Move Forward has established the Boost Your Online Presence Grant (the “Program”) to assist eligible businesses in improving website performance, search visibility, and overall digital presence;
WHEREAS, the Grant Applicant wishes to participate in the Program and has selected an approved digital vendor (the “Digital Vendor”) to deliver services under the Program;
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree as follows:
3. Participation in the Program
3.1 Grant Application
The Grant Applicant agrees to collaborate with the Digital Vendor approved by Digital Move Forward to prepare and submit a complete application in accordance with Program requirements.
3.2 Grant Approval and Co-Pay
Upon approval:
- The Program will cover 70% of eligible project costs, up to a maximum of $4,200.
- The Grant Applicant is responsible for a 30% co-pay
- Grant funds are paid directly to the Digital Vendor and applied as an upfront credit
3.3 Digital Vendor Approval
Digital Vendors participating in the Program must be approved by Digital Move Forward.
4. Obligations of the Grant Applicant
4.1 Cooperation
The Grant Applicant agrees to provide timely access, information, and materials required to complete approved services, including website audits, SEO assessments, and content or structural updates.
4.2 Additional Services
Any services beyond the approved grant scope will be billed separately by the Digital Vendor at standard or negotiated rates and are the responsibility of the Grant Applicant.
5. Eligible Use of Grant Funds
5.1 Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be a for-profit business
- Be legally registered or incorporated in Canada
- Have generated at least $100,000 in revenue in the most recent tax year
- Not have previously received a digital adoption grant
- Operate primarily outside of internet-only platforms or marketplaces
5.2 Ineligible Organizations
The following are not eligible:
- Non-profit organizations or charities
- Corporate chains or franchises
- Restaurants and retail storefronts
- Brokerages (real estate, mortgage, insurance)
5.3 Ineligible Expenses
Grant funds may not be used for:
- Costs incurred before grant approval
- Paid advertising or sponsored placements
- Hardware or equipment purchases
- Capital expenditures
- Lobbying or political activity
- Opportunity costs
5.4 Eligible Services
Grant funds may be used for:
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategy and implementation
- Website and technical SEO audits
- Website content updates directly related to SEO
- Business website design or redesign focused on improving:

- Site structure and usability
- Performance and accessibility
6. Payment Structure
6.1 Grant Credit The Program provides an approved service credit that is applied directly to the Digital Vendor’s invoice for eligible services. The credit covers 70% of eligible project costs, up to a maximum of $4,200, and the Grant Applicant is responsible for the remaining 30% co-pay. The credit is not paid to the Grant Applicant and cannot be redeemed for cash.
6.2 Vendor Services Digital Move Forward does not provide digital services. Services are delivered by the Digital Vendor under a separate agreement between the Grant Applicant and the Digital Vendor, and Digital Move Forward is not responsible for the Digital Vendor’s service performance or outcomes.
7. Approval Discretion
Digital Move Forward reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to approve or decline any application, and to determine applicant eligibility and funding availability.
8. Termination
8.1 Termination by Digital Move Forward Digital Move Forward may terminate participation with 30 days’ written notice if the Grant Applicant breaches these Terms or fails to cooperate.
8.2 Termination by Grant Applicant The Grant Applicant may terminate participation with 30 days’ written notice, subject to fulfillment of obligations to the Digital Vendor.
8.3 Termination by Digital Vendor The Digital Vendor may terminate its service agreement with the Grant Applicant in accordance with the terms of the vendor’s service contract, including for non-payment, non-cooperation, or breach by the Grant Applicant. In such case, the Grant Applicant remains responsible for any services rendered and costs incurred up to the effective date of termination. Grant funds applied prior to termination will not be reissued or transferred.
9. Confidentiality and Conduct
Both parties agree to:
- Maintain confidentiality of non-public information; and
- Refrain from false or misleading statements regarding the other party.
10. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties regarding the Program.
- Amendments: Any amendments must be made in writing and agreed upon by both parties.
- Governing Law: This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
- Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising under this Agreement shall be resolved through mediation, followed by binding arbitration if required.
- Notices: All notices must be provided in writing and delivered using recognized delivery methods.
11. Revocation and Availability
This offer may be revoked if not accepted within five (5) calendar days, or if Program funding becomes unavailable.
12. Non-Transferability
Participation in the Program is non-transferable without the prior written consent of Digital Move Forward.
